The chase for Heineken Cup glory and club rugby’s most coveted piece of silverware is on as Europe’s 24 elite clubs hope to go all the way to Murrayfield and the 14th Heineken Cup final next May.

The 14th Heineken Cup final will be played on Saturday, 23 May, 2009 (Kick-off 5pm) - the second time European club rugby's final will be staged in the Scottish capital.

The 67,400 capacity Murrayfield, which previously staged the 2005 final when Toulouse clinched their third tournament triumph, will again host the world's biggest club rugby final and provide the setting for the climax of the European club season.

The “public sale allocation” of tickets for the Edinburgh 09 Heineken Cup final at Murrayfield on Saturday, 23 May 2009 are now sold out.

Tickets went on public sale in May 2008 through Scottish Rugby and Ticketmaster and the full public sale allocation has now been sold.

ERC retains 15,000 tickets to be shared between the two finalists clubs after the Heineken Cup semi-finals, which will be played on the weekend of 1 / 2 / 3 May 2009.

Additional tickets are also reserved for European club rugby stakeholders.  Fans are advised to check ercrugby.com after the Heineken Cup quarter-finals, to be played on the weekend of 10 / 11 / 12 April, for the next ticket update.
